Dr. Kiladjian will discuss the state of dentistry in Armenia and how the organization Hand in Hand came to be—the purpose, the past and the future. He will provide an introduction of preventive dentistry services that Hand in Hand provides in Armenia and Karabagh, as well as the steps taken to achieve the organization’s goals.
Biography
Dr. Kiladjian is the principal of Longwood Dental Group in Brookline MA USA. Longwood Dental is a multi specialty group practice with a staff of 35, including 14 general dentists and specialists. Dr. Kiladjian is a prosthodontist and maintains his practice within the group, specializing in advanced cosmetic dentistry and dental implant dentistry. He also serves on the Board of Directors for Hand-in-Hand, a non-profit, non-governmental organization dedicated to the improvement of the health and social welfare of the Artsakh population, focusing on dental care and preventative education in Armenia and Karabakh.
Dr. Kiladjian is considered an authority in advanced restorative techniques and has taught at the postdoctoral level for Harvard, Tufts and Indiana Universities. He has presented on a national level for the Yankee Dental Congress and the Armenian Canadian Medical Association. Dr. Kiladjian is licensed by several boards and has served as Director, Chairman and Consultant to several hospitals, clinics and dental advisory committees, including Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Massachusetts, the first Armenian International Dental Conference, Regenstreef Hospital and Riley Children Hospital.
Dr. Kiladjian is most noted as the President and founder of the Armenian International Dental Association, which is responsible for the creation, maintenance and funding of 5 dental clinics in rural Armenia. He is also the President of the Armenian Dental Society. In addition, Dr. Kiladjian has served as President of the Academy of Dental Science, President of the Massachusetts section of the American College of Prosthodontists, President of the Brookline Dental Society and President and founder of Boston Society of Esthetic Dentistry and Implantology.
Dr. Kiladjian holds a DMD from the University of Connecticut and a master’s degree in prosthodontics from Indiana University.
